How We Can Build Fighting Unions - Day School

11.30am to 4.30pm, Central London
School of Oriental & African Studies, Thornhaugh Street, Russell Square,
London WC1H 0XG

As economic chaos spreads across the globe we can be certain of one thing - the bosses and the government will expect workers to pay for it.

New Labour can find over £55 billion to bail out Northern Rock, but nearly 6 million public sector workers face big pay cuts. And in private industry wages, pensions and conditions are also under attack.

This dayschool is designed to bring together trade unionists to debate and to organise.

We want to raise the level of resistance in the workplace, defend our rights, and discuss the urgent need for working class political representation.
